Married Life

Life after the I-do's has been great. I never realized how much of a pain in the but it was going to be to get my name changed! lol And I still haven't changed my passport or my sin card! Jeez lol who knew it would be such a hassle :P. Totally worth it though I love being Ashylla Smith! Sounds pretty good doesn't it!

I feel like summer flew by we were busy planning the wedding and were crazy busy every single weekend. We were happy to finaly have some free time after to enjoy the rest of the summer. We went hiking with mom and dad and kinz in waterton. It was beautiful! We have had such great weather this summer!

 

It was so fun having Nick and Jace and there boys here so much this summer! I absolutely adore my nephews and I really wish they were closer so I could love and spoil them all the time!!

 

 

I also had a not so fun experience... I was driving home from magrath to pincher early one saturday morning and I wasn't paying good enough attention and I missed my turn off and went speeding onto a gravel road.. luckily I somehow managed to not roll but i was swerving all over the road and ended up in the ditch.. ending my poor car's life but I was fine! I feel very lucky to have walked away from the accident but it was definately a wake up call, and now I have to suffer through not having a  vehicle! But I am very greatful that I am okay. Poor Matt had an early wake up call but he's such a good husband, he didnt even get mad at me once! He just came and got me hugged me and took care of getting it towed while i spent the day at home crying. I love that man!

 

 

We decided it was time for a visit to Calgary To watch Christie's boyfriends band Venom Rain play a show and to visit Lori and Rodney! It was lots of fun! We love going to calgary! And I miss Lori and Christie all the time!!

 

Poor Dre got sick and we had him in and out of the vet twice! He's doing much better now but he was so hilarious hoped up on some kind of doggy pain killer I couldnt resist but to a post a picture! We love our Dre so so much he is our baby and I dont know what we'd do without him.

 

Matt decided to get a new piece for the "man cave" soo we visited our favorite store! LAKNO and purchased the new addition to his man cave :)

 

 

I LOVE being an aunty!! I love going home for visits and getting the hang out with my beautiful niece! She is the cutest and I love spoiling her and watching her grow up she is so smart!! And so helpful I just love her so so much!

 

Mom and I took one of our awesome trips to Cutbank! We absolutely love our day trips to the states! We usually end up spending way to much money... well I do atleast but its so worth it we hit JC penies, then hit up the mall and every store in it, get some lunch at mcdonalds, and then do some grocery shopping at Albertsons! I loove these trips with my momma This trip we discovered ranch flavored wheat thins! They are deeelicious!! lol and We decided we needed some super hero shirts.. haha mom got spider man and I got the hulk!! I love my momma to bits and pieces and can hardly wait for our next trip to cutbank!! xxo

 

Since I crashed my car we've been doing some car shopping. Which is always an adventure lol Matt is very indecisive. I love him for it! He wants to make sure we are getting the best deal, soo it could be awhile :P but we are having fun looking around and test driving vehicles! I am hoping for an SUV.. we will see!!

 

Thanksgiving! Wow do I have alot of things to be thankful for! We had an awesome thanksgiving. Nick and jace and the boys came home so we were all home! minus kinz and chance who are in Costa Rica! We had dinner at moms on sunday with the family it was so great. I am so thankful for my loving family! I am so thankful for my loving husband and for my great life! I honestly dont think life gets much better than this! We went to grandma and grandpa smiths Monday with all the smith family! It was great I love my smith family they are so great I am so thankful for them! This year I branched out and decided I'm a grown up I can contribute to thanksgiving dinner so I made pumpkin cheesecake! and wow as it delicious I think I will have to make it every thanksgiving from now on it was a success :)

 

While Jace was home for the Holidays we all piled in East and Kass's vehicle and made a trip to Lethbridge.. Jace Hall and I somehow got put in the back back seat.. which means we all had to climb through the back hatch over the seat and squish on a small seat in the back it was quite hilarious i wish i could have videoed us getting in and out!! so fun I love my sisters it was fun to snuggle with them in the back :)

 

Matt has been gone for the past 2 weeks to training in Red deer... anyone that knows me, knows i do not do well home alone buuut I thought I'd be brave and try to sleep here alone.. needless to say its been a tough couple of weeks and I can hardly wait for my hubby to be home tomorrow! I have been on edge I lock all 3 locks on both doors and I sleep with the bed light on.. I know I'm a baby but I'm okay with it! lol And also.. I have been letting Dre sleep in the bed with me! haha Thank goodness for Dre I would have had to take 2 weeks off and go home if it wasn't for Dre!

 Also Winter has officially arrived! I'm excited because that means christmas is coming! But at the same time I dont know that im ready for the cold and the crapy roads! On the plus side Dre looves the snow its so cute he jumps and bounds through the snow and is always begging me to let him out!

 

 

 

Life is great I am enjoying being Mrs. Smith and I am excited for our many adventures to come we are goin on our honey moon at the end of November and we can hardly wait!! :)

August 4th 2012

               I woke up at 7 am, I couldn’t sleep any longer I was too excited. Lori and I slept at grandma Alston’s because mom had a full house and I needed a good night sleep! We woke up and I did Lori’s makeup and then grandma fed us breakfast, I had fruit loops, cherries and a banana! It was great!

                We went over to mom’s house to find my keys so we could drive into Lethbridge to get our hair done. Mom gave me a big hug and told me how much she loved me and how happy she was for me! Of course I had a good cry! Then we got on the road and drove into prim to get our hair done!

                It felt so surreal sitting in Aj’s chair getting my hair all curled! I was getting super excited but I honestly wasn’t nervous at all I was very calm, and ready! Once we were done, we drove back to magrath, and started doing makeup.

                Mark and Lana came over around 11 and starting getting some getting ready photos of us girls, we were soon all ready to go, we were just waiting for everyone to be ready and then we drove over to uncle wades.

We got to uncle wades and it started to get real! I still wasn’t nervous but I was getting very excited! All my bridesmaids gathered around and helped me get into my dress. I felt so beautiful and was so ready to marry the man of my dreams! Mark took a few shots of me before the wedding in uncle wades house. Then it was time!

                We all lined up and were waiting by the door, Hallie and Dexter went first, and all I remember is wondering why everyone was shouting at Hallie…. Apparently poor Dexter lost his pants and Hallie had no idea, everyone thought it was hilarious and it kind of broke the ice for the rest of us to walk down the aisle. Kass and Livi were next, followed by Jace, then kinz, then Christie and last Lori.. Then it was time for me and dad to walk down the aisle.

                The song changed and marry me by train started to play, dad and I both started getting emotional and we started walking down the aisle. It was so nice to have dad there to hold me up and to give me away. The ceremony was decorated so beautifully and the sun was shining it was perfect! I remember first seeing matt my heart melted it was finally happening we were going to be man and wife!

                Bishop Boyes married us and he did such a beautiful job! We shared the best and first kiss as man and wife! We all walked back down the aisle and we went over and signed our marriage license making it official!! After that we started in with pictures!!

                Mark is so good at what he does, we spent the next couple of hours thanking people for coming and getting many beautiful pictures capturing all of our precious moments! Matt looked so amazing, I knew and still know that I am such a lucky girl and that he will always take such good care of me!

                Once we were done with photos we went over the stake center to start the family dinner. Vinnie Jensen Catered the event, we had roast beef, mashed potatoes, gravy, Cesar salad, and cooked carrots it was delicious! During the dinner we had a program. Easton Mc’d for us and he did such an amazing job! He didn’t embarrass me to much! My amazing sister did an awesome number! My mom wrote a song to oops I did it again by Britney spears it was perfect!! My mom is so talented and so are my beautiful sisters! We also played a game during the dinner “putter up” it was a fun game if you wanted us to kiss you had to go up on the stage and make a put, and for those who don’t golf they could hula hoop and we would kiss! It was so much fun! We played the shoe game Rawle and Bonnie and Mike and Cheryl came up to play it with us it was tons of fun. We also had an amazing slideshow that jace did for us! It was beautiful she did such an awesome job! The speeches were amazing Jay and Lori both did an awesome job! Mike did a great job as well welcoming me to the family. Dad sang to me butterfly kisses! It was so perfect, he is my hero I love my dad so much, he is the reason I love music so much and I love his voice it is the most pure and soothing voice he did such a great job, I don’t think there was a dry eye in the whole gym. He also gave a beautiful tribute to me and a welcome to the family to matt! I love my dad! Matt followed my dad and gave the most beautiful speech I think anyone has heard he did such a good job! I love him so very much and am so lucky to have such an amazing man to love and take care of me!

                After the dinner, we took a bathroom break… I had to get out of my dress in order to pee.. lol which if you know me you would know that is an issue so I’m lucky I had Jacie to come to the bathroom with me to get me in and out of my dress! Miraculously I only had to get out of it twice! After that we went and Dani took some more pictures of us at uncle wades she got a lot of beautiful shots!

                Following that we had the reception, we served chips, salsa, bean dip and pina coladas at the reception it was a hit! We also had a candy table and Aunt Mona’s homemade hot pink chocolates they were delicious! The gym was decorated so beautifully and the reception was perfect. After the reception we went around and thanked people for coming and then we headed to Lethbridge to University to the dance. A lot of your family and friends stayed back to help take down decorations, we are so thankful to them for doing that!

                The dance was a blast! Kinz Hallie and I were the only ones dancing in the beginning, but soon the Frenzels showed up and Michelle and Hannah and it became a dance party! ( I love my family) My mom and dad, Jace, nick, and there kids showed up! It was so much fun to get to dance with my family, Matt didn’t dance much lol but that’s okay he was having fun going around thanking everyone and talking to everyone. Our day was absolutely perfect. I wouldn’t have done it any other way!

                We danced until last call and then a Limo came to pick us up; we snuggled and reminisced in how great our day was on our way to the hotel. We are so thankful for all the hard work and planning that went into our big day! We had the time of our lives and will never forget it!

Life lately!

Time seems to be flying by! I am going to be a mrs. in 19 days! And I couldn't be any happier! I have had tons going on lately! Ill try to catch ya up..

We had my family shower! It was so great! My mom and sisters are amazing kassidys house looked so perfect, and the food was amazing as always! they are so good to me! We had such a great turn out and I got spoiled rotten! I am the luckiest girl in the world I have the best family and friends! Thanks to everyone who came and made it so special!!

My best friend Lori became a Wifey!! It was such a spectacular day! she looked so beautiful and everything went to well!! I am so happy for Lori and Rodney!! They make such a beautiful couple and are two of my favorite people!! It has been fun/ crazy having lori and I planning our wedding together!  think we both wont know what to do with ourselves once mine is over! lol Maybe we will actually get some time to relax and enjoy summer!

Did I mention how blessed I am to have such a great family!! We decided it was time to get an updated photo of the Chipman clan!! I love my family so much, i dont know where id be or what I'd do without them!!

Next up will be wedding photos!! I am so excited and I hope these next 19 days fly by!!

Lately I have really been conscious of how very blessed I am! It has been one of the best and one of the worst years of my life, I think that has really made me aware of what matters and who really cares. I am very thankful for my family, I have the best family!

My Dad is the most big hearted, kind and caring man that I know! He would do anything for anybody! He is always doing good for others I love that about him! He can always make me smile, even when I don't want to! I absolutely love my dad laugh! If you have never heard it come over to my house and turn on who's line is it anyways, America's funniest home video's, or head over heals in the bathroom scene lol it is great! It is contagious! If my dad is laughing you are sure to be laughing too! My dad is such a tender hearted man he always knows just what to say and is always putting others before him! I love my dad!

My mom is the most hardworking, loving, and amazing woman I know! My mom literally would do anything for me! She amazes me every single day! She has had a tough year, she lost her brother, and nae who was like a daughter to her. But yet she still gets up everyday, puts a smile on her face and goes on. She is so strong, she holds us all together! My mom is so talented! She cooks, cleans, sews, decorates, yard works, bakes, does laundry, grocery shops, babysits, works full time, ect. and still finds time to take care of her children! I have often taken my mom for granted but lately I have really realised how blessed I am to have such a loving mother. Not everyone is blessed with a loving family. My mom is my rock, she is my best friend. I cannot imagine a life without her I Hope I never have too!

Every girl needs a big brother! I am so blessed to have such a great big brother! Easton is such a good man! I love watching him with Olivia! He is such a good dad! Me and Easton have always had a good relationship! I know that he would do anything anytime for me! He has taught me so much, and I know that he will always love me no matter what! He is such a hardworking man, and he is such a good husband to kass! He hasn't always had it easy with 4 little sisters but he has always been there for me when I really need him! I love how goofy my big brother is! Whenever I am around him he can always make my laugh until my stomach hurts!! He is the best I can't imagine life without him I am so blessed to have such a great big brother!

I am also very blessed to have such an amazing sister in law! Kass is so great! She is so easy to talk to and is so welcoming! I remember kass in high school, I always looked up to her I thought she was so beautiful and talented! I was ecstatic when East started dating her!! They are so good for each other I couldn't be happier! Kass is so hardworking and such a good mom! I love seeing her with Livi, she is so good with kids!! I love my sister in law so very much!

And what would I do without a big sister to take such good care of me! Jacie is such an amazing sister! She is so loving and so creative! She is a tad bit on the OCD side but I love her for it!! She is so talented! She can plan any event and make it look effortless, she can scrapbook like pro, her home looks like its out of a magazine, and she is such an amazing mom! I have always admired and looked up to my big sister! She has such a big heart and I hate that she lives so far away from me! I am so thankful for my big sister!

I am also very blessed to have such a great brother in law! Last year I lived with Jace and Nick for a couple of months and Nick drove me to school everyday! I am so grateful for that! He is such a great dad! He is so hardworking, and I love the way he loves Jace! They are so perfect for each other! I love how Nick makes so many trips to see us! I know that its not an easy drive with two kids, and not always convenient but we love seeing them and I am so grateful that they come down so often!

I am very thankful for my little sister Kinzee. Kinzee is one of my best friends! She is always there for me when I need her, and she can always make me smile! I love just cruising around blaring the music and car dancing with kinz! She can make any experience fun! I love her for that! Kinz has had a tough, and amazing year! She is so strong and I love her so much! Kinz is so talented! She just finished the unit clerk program and starts her practicum in June. She works, goes to school gets good grades, cooks, cleans, and is a wife all at the same time! She is amazing! Kinz is one of those people that everyone loves to be around she is so much fun, and is so loving!! I am so grateful for my little sister!

Chanse  became a part of the crazy chipman fam in October! We love Chanse he is such a good guy. He takes such good care of kinz. He works, and has been going to school for teaching! He is very smart! He know just about everything about just about anything! lol I love how he brings out the adventurous side of kinz and makes her come out of her comfort zone sometime :). They are planning to go to Costa Rica In September! I am very excited for them!

I am so blessed to have such an amazing baby sister! Hallie Inspires me every single day! Hallie lost her best friend this year. She has experienced an awful tragedy that I wish I could take away It has been so hard to watch her struggle, but it amazes me how strong she is. She is such an amazing sister, she has such great standards and she sticks to her beliefs. I love that if you are Hallie's friend she always has your back, she stands up for who she loves, and what she believes in, and who she is! She is so headstrong and I love that about her! I never really have to worry to much about my baby sister because I know that she is such a good girl and that she can take care of herself! I still get to worry about her though Its my job as a big sister! :) Hallie is so talented! She has an amazing voice, she can dance like nobody else I know! seriously she can pop lock and drop it! I'm quite jealous! She is such a good athlete, she's a great cheerleader and she is such a good friend! I love my baby sister so much and I am so thankful for her and her example to me! She is truly amazing!!

I am such a proud Aunty!! I do not know what could be better than being an aunt! I have the BEST and CUTEST niece and nephews a girl could ask for!! They make me smile every single day, I love them so much and I love getting to spoil them and getting to be a part of their lives! I hate that Dexter and Knox are so far away!! But I cherish the time I do get to spend with them!! I love having Liv so close! I get to see her once a week it is so great! she is such a good baby! I cannot believe she is almost one!! I love my family soo much and i can hardly wait to give mom and dad some more grand kids ;)

I am so blessed to have such an amazing Fiance! Matt seriously is the man for me! He is so hardworking, he is so good to me! I am such a lucky girl, he spoils me rotten! He is so understanding, loving, and caring. He would do absolutely anything for me! He takes such good care of me! I don't know what I would do without him. He is my other Half. I am so excited to get to marry my best friend! He is everything and more that I ever hoped for in a husband! He motivates me, and makes me want to be my best self! He is always here for me in the good and in the bad! He always knows what i need hes there to hold me, to wipe my tears and to laugh with me! I love being with him and I am so excited for the rest of our lives together. He truly is the man for me and I am so blessed to get to spend my life with him!

I can't imagine not having any one of these people to share my life with! They make life worth living! I am so grateful and so blessed to have so many people who love and care about me! I absolutely adore my family!!
